Together we can do heroic things

… and Restore Dignity.

Yesterday saw the College community gather in the Hall for the annual Vinnie’s Day Mass, which reminded us of the purpose of all charitable works viz., to restore people to their own innate dignity.

  • Catholic Education South Australia invites principals, teachers, parents and caregivers of students in Catholic schools to explore the Federal government’s proposed new education funding model and to hear Labor’s response to our concerns about the federal funding of Catholic Education into the future.  This event will feature an address by The Leader of the Opposition, Hon Bill Shorten MP and will be held TONIGHT at St. Joseph’s School, Tranmere.  Download the flyer here for more information. 

  • There is an important notice regarding the College’s duty of care towards students and the times at which supervision is provided on campus.  In the interest of ensuring a responsible degree of safety for our students, we encouage parents to familiarise themselves with these details.

  • Primary Parents take note: The following clubs can be added to the Children’s University Passports: Cooking, Chess, Thursday Night Netball, Gardening, and Running Club.

  • We congratulate our Year 5/6 participants in the annual Da Vinci Decathlon.  Their efforts were rewarded with a first place for the Art and Poetry Task, second place for the English Task and an overall placing of third.  The girls were delighted with the results and took home a bronze medal each.  We are so proud of their efforts, enthusiasm and growth mindset.

  • Year 12 students studying business related subjects attended Meet the Business Leaders

  • We congratulate those students who participated in the State Cross Country Championships at Oakbank last week.

  • Our Year 9 Student Leaders reflect back on their experience at yLead Altitude Day

  • There are photos from Year 11 Retreat and Year 12 Formal

  • A reminder that there is no Saturday Morning Sport this weekend, owing to the Queen’s Birthday public holiday on Monday.

Upcoming Events

  • The 2017 Fete Committee meets TONIGHT in the College Reception area.  7pm for pizza supper, followed by the meeting at 7:30pm.

  • RSVP now for St Dominic’s “Biggest Morning Tea”, in support of the Cancer Council.  Monday 19 June 8:00am – 10:00am.  Details on the back page of today’s Bulletin.
