SACE RESULTS 2016

It is with pride and pleasure that I share with you the results of the 2016 year 12 students of St Dominic’s Priory College.

The College year ended for the graduates of 2016, post exams and assessments, with two special ceremonies; the first at the End of Year Mass where they were presented with the traditional red rose, the sign of our ongoing appreciation of the 2016 graduates. The second was the College and family farewell at the Graduation Ball. We acknowledge with gratitude the legacy and contribution of Year 12 parents and students to the St. Dominic’s community.

Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank:  ATAR.

  • 43% of students obtained an ATAR over 90

  • 23% obtained an ATAR over 95

  • 3 Students obtained an ATAR above 99

  • 53% of all 2016 Stage 2 grades were in the A band

Special congratulations are extended to,

  • Bao Chau Le, Dux of School, who achieved an ATAR of 99.7 with Merits in Biology, ESL Studies and Chemistry.

  • Shanna Lee, runner up Dux, who achieved an ATAR of 99.65 with Merits in English Studies, Music Individual Study, Religion Studies (2016) and Research Project (2015).   Shanna is one of 27 South Australian Governor’s Commendation Recipients

  • Ada Snell, who achieved an ATAR of 99.50 with Merits in Italian and Society and Culture, (2016) and Research Project (2015).

A range of other outstanding results were obtained. Merits were achieved across all learning areas.

I congratulate each one of our Year 12 graduates on their hard work to achieve their very best. I would also like to acknowledge the teaching and non- teaching staff for their significant part in supporting our students in their achievements.
