A Message for All South Australians

Message from His Excellency the Honourable Hieu Van Le AC, Governor of South Australia

The Vice-Regal program has been adjusted to take account of the public health situation, resulting in the necessary cancellation or postponement of most face-to-face engagements.

His Excellency the Governor and Mrs Lan Le will, however, seek to continue their regular engagements and communication with community members and organisations by other means for the time being.

To this end, His Excellency has prepared a message to the people of South Australia here.

Online Mass and Prayer Services

Easter 2020

We welcome families to engage with the following online alternatives for prayer and reflection, as we head into Easter:

The Archdiocese will live stream Mass on Sundays from St Francis Xavier's Cathedral at 10:00am. This can be accessed via their website, www.adelaide.catholic.org.au.  They will also be available via Facebook or YouTube.  The Mass can also be watched on demand.

The following Easter services will be broadcast on free to air TV via community station Channel 44.

Holy Thursday  -  Mass of the Lord's Supper | 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Good Friday  -  Passion of the Lord | 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Holy Saturday  -  Easter Vigil in the Holy Night | 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Easter Sunday  -  9:00am - 10:00am

The Passionist Community at The Monastery, Glen Osmond, has pre-recorded the 2020 Stations of the Cross.  This can be viewed on YouTube.

Sunday Mass is screened on Channel 10 at 6:00am every Sunday morning.  Click Here to watch via 10Play.

Channel 7 will broadcast Easter services from St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney.  Click Here to watch via 7Plus.

Good Friday Lord's Passion | 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Easter Sunday | 10.30am - 11:30am

As we enter into this sacred week, we know it's important during these challenging times to carve out some time for prayer and reflection and to purposefully connect with others in new and innovative ways.  In many ways our journey through Holy Week is both more challenging and equally more important in praying communally and finding ways to connect with our call as Easter people.

Being Prepared | Showing Respect | Remaining Connected

Week 8 Bulletin

Our world is impacted by COVID-19, and as we respond we must surely show respect for each other; for the work of our leaders, our medical professionals, and all those in work that provides service.  Respect in the supermarket, on the bus, at work and wherever we move.  Let us think about how we can look after ourselves, and each other.  In the Bulletin this week:

  • Year 3, 4 and 5 reflect on their Swimming Lessons

  • Year 7 tour the College Chapel with a very special guide: Sr Jill!

  • Year 10 Geography went on a coastal walk between Henley Beach and Glenelg, to study the environmental impact of coastal development

  • We see pictures from the 2020 Student Leaders Gathering: Leaders for the World God Desires, held earlier this month
