Sport

Girls at St Dominic’s take part in our specialist Physical Education Program from the start of school and all throughout their school life. This consists of weekly lessons across sports like soccer, dance, gymnastics, hockey and tennis – so that all our girls get the chance to build their fitness through physical activities that excite and energise them.

We have visiting coaches and clinics across many sports, plus instructors in fitness and exercise activities like yoga to further broaden the program.

Annual Sports Day

One of the highlights of the St Dominic’s Priory College sporting year is our Twilight Sports Day – where students from Reception right through to Year 12 come together to take part in ball games, athletics, and novelty events. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate our school spirit (and some friendly competition!).

Representative Sports

Junior School students can compete in sporting and athletic events for St Dominic’s (both in and out of school hours) from Year 3. This includes carnivals for athletics, cross county, swimming, netball and basketball.

Older Primary students can try out for district teams in many sports as part of our involvement with the South Australian Primary Schools Sporting Association (SAPSSA). Our students also take part in Catholic Primary School Sports Association, District and State events.
