International Women’s Day at St Dominic’s

Week 7 Bulletin

On Friday 6 March St Dominic’s Priory College celebrated International Women’s Day.  The Year 12 College Prefects and SRC attended the official breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre, whilst a smaller group attended the official luncheon.  On campus, the Library hosted the Year 10 cohort for the inaugural International Women’s Day Breakfast celebration where students heard from Ms Aurora Reid, who spoke to the Year 10s about the value of education and the opportunities St Dominic’s Priory College provides.  Read a transcript here.

In this week’s news

  • The Year 3, 4 and 5 classes are enjoying their Swimming Lessons, and we congratulate our Year 4 – Year 7 athletes for their efforts at the North Adelaide District Swimming Carnival.

  • The Primary School enjoyed their Field Day and all are now looking forward to Sports Day.

  • Year 9 French reflect on their Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) celebrations on Shrove Tuesday.

  • As a community, St Dominic’s Priory College is preparing for all possibilities whilst remaining calm, measured and informed by our response to the COVID-19 outbreak.  Updated communications were sent home to families on Wednesday and can be read here.

  • The Parents & Friends extend their request for more parent helpers at Sports Day. If every family would please consider giving just an hour
    of their time, the day will be an enjoyable, well-run community event for all.  Please take a moment to sign up online now.  It is hoped that the event schedule, as emailed to families on Friday 13 March, will assist in parents choosing a roster around their daughter/s event(s).
