  • We welcome our new 'Little Dom's' to St Dominic's!
  • R-12 gather for a special Assembly, where talent in poetry, singing, and performing arts was shared for all to enjoy.
  • Saturday Morning Sport is BACK.
  • The Year 3 Class have been exploring the different aspects of the life, culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; including a special liturgy, a class art project, and reflection in music.  We also wish them well as they take the next step on their faith journey; making their First Reconciliation today in the College Chapel.
  • There are reports from the Deputy Principal, Year 11 Coordinator, and Flexible Learning Coordinator.

  • The Primary School explore Antarctica, experience Medieval Times, and practice T-H-I-N-K.
  • Gala Day was a resounding success!

Inside Issue 4 of the Term 2 Bulletin

  • It is Refugee Week and we are Celebrating the Year of Welcome around the College
  • Our Year 7s learned about sustainable fashion and were inspired to stay true to themselves and keep their goals in sight; following a presentation by Designer and Young Australian of the Year, Paul Vasileff.  Paul is the founder of the internationally renowned fashion house, Paolo Sebastian, and we are incredibly grateful for his visit. 
  • Year 12 PE students have been working with our Year 4, 5 & 6 Netballers, getting the girls ready for the anticipated return of Thundercup Netball.
  • The Gardening Club Grubs have been busy in the Primary gardens!
  • Gala Day is Wednesday 1 July

Inside Issue 3 of the Term 2 Bulletin

  • Our classes came together... apart... participating in a virtual, simultaneous Vinnies Liturgy.  This marks the start of the College's involvement in the Vinnies Winter Appeal.
  • There is a reminder about traffic management and pedestrian safety at pick up and drop off.  It is very important that parents are patient and follow the road rules.
  • We acknowledge National Reconciliation Week, with its theme 'In this together'.
  • Many students across Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 participated in a Cross Country race with a different; with their circuit mapped out around the College and results shared with and measured against competing schools, virtually. 
  • The Primary classes joined with other schools throughout Australia and New Zealand for National Simultaneous Storytime.
  • Gala Day - Save the Date - Wednesday 1 July.  More to come.
  • To coincide with World Turtle Day, the Environment Club launced its Plastics Initiative.
  • Year 9 French conducted une Chasse au Trésor.  
  • In Year 12 news, our most senior students marked the halfway point of their final year of secondary schooling with a Pyjama Day
  • Year 10 Maths students have been busy, learning about area and volume formulae via the use of scale drawings and 3D models.

Inside Issue 2 of the Term 2 Bulletin

  • Parent-Teacher (phone) Interviews have commenced in the Secondary School; to be followed by the Primary classes in Week 5 and Week 6
  • Students have been busy creating art themed 'Connecting Hearts, Not Hands' for display around the College, and also distribution to nearby frontline workers.   
  • We are all enjoying the wonderful new landscaping throughout the College's gardens and green space.
  • There is information from the Director of Teaching & Learning about the upcoming Year 10 + Year 11 Exams.
  • Our 2020 India Pilgrims led the College in 'feeding those who cannot feed themselves'; a much-needed and appreciated fundraiser for Fr Harry and the community at Yuva Jyothi Children's Home, in India.  Visit Dare2Dream to find out more. 
  • Year 7 students learned about 'Resilience' as part of the Health Curriculum.
