End of Year Mass 2017

Last night's End of Year Mass was an inspiring culmination of the 2017 school year.  Congratulations to all our students for leading us so well.  See inside today's Bulletin for more!

Other highlights include:

  • We recently received a thank you from the Australian Migrant Resource Centre, thanking our Reception families for their very generous donation of seven educational backpacks for new arrival children of refugee background.  Read the notice online here

  • The Year 3 Class went for their final visit to Helping Hand Residential Aged Care.

  • We commend the efforts of a Year 10 student who, as part of her Personal Project, raised nearly $900 for the Mary Potter Foundation's Walk for Love.

  • Year 6 celebrated their Graduation from the Primary School with a presentation evening and family BBQ.

  • There's news from the Sports Department, including information about how to order Term 4 Sports Photos.

  • The 2017 Parents & Friends Report is published.

End of Year Mass Information

End of Year Mass Information

Please read today's Bulletin closely as we all prepare for next Tuesday's special night when we gather to give thanks to God for the year that has passed.

  • Bring your entry tickets with you. They are going home with your daughters this week.  Be aware of your entrance and exit point.
  • Be early. Students need to be in their seats by 7:00 pm. To find a park, and make your way to the central courtyard, will mean leaving home early. There are several entries for the different year levels and you will find this information clearly outlined in today's Bulletin and included with your tickets. Your daughters will be dismissed from school at 2.25pm on Tuesday afternoon to enable them to get home and back within a reasonable time frame.

  • Summer uniform freshly pressed is required, as well as polished shoes and black hair ribbons. Jewellery is not to be worn.

  • Reception - Year 5 look back on Twilight Assembly

  • Year 1 have some cute and furry visitors in their classroom, care of the Nature Education Centre

  • Year 6 Italian explored the concept of Italian food and the impact of Italian food worldwide, as part of 'La Settimana Della Cucina Italiana'

  • There's news from the English Faculty, with more success being reported; this time from the Goolwa (Slam) Poetry Competition

PE Week 2017

PE Week 2017

In the Week 6 Bulletin:

  • Our Primary Classes were challenged and kept active with the schedule of exciting events that took place during PE Week
  • The Year 4 Class celebrated the Feast Day of St Elizabeth at their Friday Chapel Mass, to which many wore their beautiful Communion dresses
  • Congratulations to the R-5 Students and their wonderful teachers and support staff on the great start to Christmas at last night's Twilight Assembly
  • There's news from the Science faculty, with the Year 9s off to the Botanic Gardens for a lesson on ecology and a Year 11 student announced as a participant in the 2018 National Youth Science Forum; to be held in Canberra this coming January.
  • Year 10 Commerce raised $578.20 in support of the 2018 India Pilgrimage as part of their Business for a Day activity.
  • Year 9 SRC participated in 'Cake it for Charity' at the Calvary Hospital.

Write a Book in a Day

Congratulations to our National Division Winners!!

We are proud to announce that our Year 8 'Write a Book in a Day' Authors have been awarded the National Award for best Middle School entry with their book 'A Leap of Faith'.  752 teams from 250 schools around Australia took part in this Project, raising $196,000 for Cancer research.

End of Year Mass

Families are reminded that their RSVPs to End of Year Mass are due back to the College Office no later than Friday 24 November.  Seats are limited and tickets may not be guarranteed for RSVPs received after this date.

Financial Information

The 2018 Fee Schedule and Sibling Discount form have been published in today's Bulletin.  Coming home later this week, via eldest daughters, will be the 'Financial Information 2018' policy, with more detail.

Tonight's Parent Meetings - All Welcome

This evening we will wind up a very successful year of 2017 in the hands of our Parent leaders of our two central committees.  The Parents and Friends Association and of the Fete Committee.  As a community we are indebted to parents who take on such an important community role with the support of you our parent body.  We look forward to your company this evening.  It is always a sad occasion to farewell those who have travelled the road and whose children are now graduating.
