Balance in Learning

A Short yet Busy Week!

This short week after Easter has begun educationally in earnest.  Today the daughters of our Year 10 parents took part in a Road Safety Presentation.  By the end of this busy week Students will have well and truly committed time to a balance in learning, fundamental to the MYP profile of the learner, and absolutely fundamental to an appreciation of a true Dominican education.  The MYP profile of the balanced Learner defines it as:

“balancing the different aspects of our lives, intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional to achieve well- being for ourselves and others”

By the end of the week many students will bring back to school an appreciation of the world beyond school, met through excursions into:  senior Chemistry, Digital Photography, Design Technology, French film, a Dominican student leaders gathering at Cabra, a Year 12 Visual Art and Design forum, a Petanque Cup excursion for French students and the list goes on.
