A Bumper Week 8 Bulletin…

Inside this week’s edition:

  • Legacy Week: In what has become an annual tradition, our Year 7 classes took to O’Connell Street; collecting money and selling badges, wristbands and teddy bears in support of Legacy.  We congratulate the girls on raising over $1,000 for this worthy cause.
  • We welcomed our incoming 2020 Year 7s for their Orientation Evening
  • Congratulations to our 8B Debating team, who are through to the finals at Parliament House!
  • Read the winning entries of the 2019 Book Week / Literacy Week Writing Competition; held in the Primary School.
  • There’s a wrap up of ‘Self-Love Week’ and Year 9 Camp.
  • Our Year 11 English as an Additional Language spent time with our Year 5s recently, discussing what life is like for 11 year olds (or near 11 year olds) in 2019 Australia. 

Fete Update

  • The Week 8 Fete Appeal is: Packet of Sweets (Sweet Stall) and $2 for Jams (Produce Stall)

  • Art Union Raffle Books will be coming home with students today, Wednesday 11 September.  We ask that families please do their best to sell tickets ($2 each).  First przie is $1,000, and will be drawn on Fete Day, Sunday 27 October 2019.

Upcoming Dates

  • Personal Project Information Evening / Exhibition: TONIGHT in the Hall.

    • 5:30pm – 7:00pm: Launch of Personal Project to Year 9 Students and parents
    • 7:15pm – 8:30pm: Personal Project Exhibition for all Year 10 Students and their families.  All welcome.
  • Dominican Cup Debating: from 6pm Wednesday 18 September
  • Annual Music Concert will be held in the College Hall on Thursday September 18.  Get your tickets ($10/$5) at the door from 6:45pm.
