Senior Years - Year 11 and Year 12

The Senior Curriculum at St Dominic's Priory College encompasses Years 11 and 12.  Senior students are able to choose from a wide range of subjects that provide challenging educational opportunities designed to meet their individual needs and prepare them for life beyond school.  Our students are encouraged to develop problem solving skills, to develop independence of thought and to make optimum use of their individual talents.

The significant number of our students who progress to tertiary study is reflective of the quality of academic learning at St Dominic's Priory College.  The College also offers programs and courses which provide alternatives for students planning careers that involve other training or post-secondary options.

In Year 11 (Stage 1) and Year 12 (Stage 2) students study patterns are largely determined by the requirements necessary to complete the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).  Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses may be used as credit towards completing Years 11 and 12.  This College values students maintaining proficiency in their mother tongue and therefore encourages students to study languages not offered at the College, at the School of Languages or other community-based language schools.
